Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In order to welcome National Children's Day on July 23, 2022, the Malang City Children's Forum compiled the Voice of Indonesian Children at the Malang City Level at the Malang City Children's Forum Secretariat, Saturday (18/6/2022). The purpose of this event is to represent the role of the Children's Forum as a forum for channeling the aspirations, desires, and needs of children in Malang City.

The Head of the Malang City Children's Forum, Khailila Arumdapta said, through the Suara Anak Kota Malang program, it is hoped that the aspirations of children in Malang City can be conveyed to the government, bridged by the Children's Forum. Where this forum is an organization engaged in the fulfillment of children's rights that come from children, by children, and for children.
"This year, Suara Anak Kota Malang will be collected through two methods, namely opinion polls and direct observation. The first method, namely opinion polls, will be conducted through the Suara Fajar program initiated by the East Java Children's Forum," said Khailila Arumdapta.
The Suara Fajar program is a form of collaboration with UNICEF Indonesia's partner, U-Report, in collecting opinion polls. The program, which was implemented from March 30 to April 27, 2022, successfully collected 981 child respondents from Malang City to participate in expressing their voices.
While the second method used is direct observation conducted by the Children's Forum up to the sub-district level. With direct observation in the surrounding environment, it is expected to represent the condition of children in a more complex way.
Later, the results of the 2022 Malang City Children's Voice will be used as material for compiling the 2022 Malang City Children's Voice and also the provincial Children's Voice. In addition, it will also be used as material when the Malang City Children's Forum has the opportunity to hold an audience with policy makers as a form of the Children's Forum's role as Children's Participation in the Development Process (PAPP).
In addition, Arum also added, the declaration of Suara Anak Kota Malang also aims to support Malang City as a child-friendly city. "In accordance with the role of the children's forum as 2P (pioneer and pioneer) and Child Participation in the Development Process (PAPP), this activity supports Malang City towards a Child-Friendly City," he concluded.
