Good Performing Civil Servants Will Have Opportunity to Buy Subsidized Houses

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) is currently building housing for Civil Servants (PNS). It is planned that the PNS housing project will be built in the Bandulan Village area, Sukun District, Malang City and will be completed in 2023.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji reviewed the construction of housing for Civil Servants (PNS)

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji explained that a verification process will be carried out on which civil servants are entitled to receive this subsidized housing. "Our number of civil servants is 7.200, only 560 units are ready. So the requirements have been set by the Human Resources Development and Civil Service Agency (BKPSDM). I ask that later of course the report from BKPSDM will be submitted," explained Sutiaji, Monday (20/6/2022).

Sutiaji emphasized that the civil servants who are prioritized to be able to buy subsidized houses are low-ranking civil servants with good performance according to the report card from BKPSDM, and of course those who do not yet have a private home.

"There should be no games here. There must be achievements and rewards. (For example), because this person is about to retire but has no defects or has been repaired, then it is prioritized. We also give it because of good performance, this is a form of reward from the city government," he said.

Furthermore, Sutiaji said that this housing project had actually started in 2014. However, during that period there were still obstacles in that the existing land had not been integrated because it was blocked by land belonging to other people.

The housing built on 7,2 hectares of land can later be purchased in cash or through a Home Ownership Credit (KPR) for a maximum of 20 years. "This is type 36 with a land area of 66 meters, the price is Rp155.500.000,00. Cheap because it is a subsidized house," he concluded.

To realize subsidized housing for civil servants, Malang City Government collaborates with PT. Kharisma Karangploso as the developer and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) as the KPR provider.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT. Kharisma Karangploso M. Tri Wediyanto emphasized that the specifications of subsidized housing, including PNS housing in Bandulan, are guaranteed to meet standards.

"The specifications are already bound by ministerial regulations and certificates of functional suitability. If they do not comply with those stipulated by the ministry, the subsidy will not be issued," he said.

Tri plans to have three stages of development. However, his party will also adjust to the location and existing conditions, including the weather which will certainly affect the progress of development. For the first stage of development, his party is targeting to complete around 150 housing units and can be realized in November 2022. (ari/ram)
