Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Ahead of Eid al-Adha, the Malang City Food Security and Agriculture Service (Dispangtan) is intensively conducting education regarding the outbreak of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in livestock.

Head of Malang City Agriculture Service Sri Winarni, SH., MM revealed that this activity is a series of preparations to welcome Eid al-Adha by conducting antemortem and postmortem dissemination.
"Today we are sharing knowledge with the mosque administrators in Malang City who will later become the committee for slaughtering sacrificial animals," explained Sri Winarni at her office, Monday (21/6/2022).
They provide education on how to conduct antemortem and postmortem examinations. So that at the time of slaughtering sacrificial animals, the community already understands about the FMD outbreak. Because this is a series of activities from Dispangtan, then after this there will also be a follow-up.
"In the future, there will be health checks on sacrificial animals at sacrificial animal sales stalls," explained Sri Winarni.
The next stage, he said, is assistance and monitoring at the places where sacrificial animals are slaughtered. Starting from D-1 until the day of the sacrificial animals are slaughtered.
Present as a resource person from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Malang City, BBPP Songgoriti and attended by 50 participants from five sub-districts in Malang City. "We hope that after participating in this activity, participants can share knowledge in their respective regions. So that their knowledge can bring even more benefits," said Sri Winarni. (cah/ram)
