Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – After the executive ranks of the Malang City Government presented the draft regional regulation on building approval fees in a plenary meeting some time ago to the legislative ranks, on Monday (27/6/2022) the next agenda was a plenary meeting to submit the final statements of the six factions in the DPRD regarding the draft regional regulation.
In essence, all factions in the people's representative building on Jalan Tugu 1A approved the draft regional regulation to be made into a regional regulation (perda) with a number of suggestions and inputs. In this plenary meeting, I Made Riandiana Kartika as the Chairperson of the DPRD then signed the approval of the draft regional regulation on building approval fees into a regional regulation.
Regarding this matter, the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, said that the basis for the birth of this regional regulation was the existence of regulations above it, namely Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, which was followed up by Government Regulation Number 16 of 2021 concerning Implementing Regulations of Law Number 28 of 2002 concerning Buildings, the nomenclature of building permits was changed to building approvals.
Based on the development of the regulation, explained the bespectacled man, the Malang City government through this draft regional regulation has made adjustments to the regulation on the collection of building permit fees that have been regulated in Malang City Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2011 concerning Certain Permit Fees, to be subsequently changed to building approval fees.
"Hopefully, with the draft of the new regional regulation that was discussed together, it is expected to be able to answer the legal certainty for the collection of building approval fees. I really appreciate the delivery of the final opinion of the faction and the decision-making of the Malang City DPRD that has been conveyed on the previous occasion as mandated in Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government," added the man who is familiarly called Bung Edi.
From all these processes, he explained, it is also a symbol of an acceleration process that is attempted and worked on together in a collaborative framework between the executive and legislative. "On that basis, the draft regional regulation on building approval fees can be approved. Furthermore, this draft regional regulation will follow the further process to be enacted immediately," he continued.
Meanwhile, Malang City DPRD Chairman I Made Riandiana Kartika admitted that he would provide control or supervision over the implementation of the draft regional regulation that has been approved as a regional regulation today. So that the existence of this new regulation will be beneficial for the community, especially regarding the construction of buildings.
"In the next month we ask the legislature to immediately draft a mayoral regulation. In its implementation, there must be orderly administration, there are conveniences and most importantly there are no expensive costs because all services are online," he said. (say/ram)
