Today the concentration is in Sukun District, including Mulyorejo Village. Then the vaccination was carried out in Kedungkandang District with a location in Cemorokandang Village.
"Then it will continue going forward with another 100 doses carried out to various areas in Malang City until before July 7, 2022," said Sri Winarni.
Sri Winarni added, the total vaccination will be given to 300 cows. The vaccine given to prevent FMD disease is 2 milli per vaccine. With this vaccine, it is expected to increase the immunity of cows against FMD attacks. The main priority of this vaccination is in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture, that the vaccine given is prioritized for healthy cows, dairy cows, and beef cattle.
"Our data in Malang City, there are 43 dairy cows that are the first target, the rest of the vaccinations will be given to beef cattle that are not traded for the next six to seven months," said Sri Winarni.
The owner of a dairy farm in RT 2/RW 4 Jalan Imam Sujono Nurali admitted that he was happy with the attention from the Malang City Government through Dispangtan. So far, his party has only relied on vitamins and Javanese herbal medicine to prevent FMD attacks.
"Alhamdulillah, of the seven dairy cows that I raise, all are healthy. Hopefully, by being given the FMD vaccine in the future, our cows will be healthier and more resistant to disease," said Nurali. (cah/ram)
