Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – Goat traders who have emerged in Malang City ahead of Eid al-Adha have many ways to attract customers. For example, goat traders in Merjosari, Malang City provide a guarantee of healthy livestock and will replace the goats purchased if they die, Wednesday (29/6/2022).
Goat seller in the Merjosari area, Sodik, said he has been selling goats in the Merjosari area for four years. To attract customers, including during the FMD season, he provides a guarantee to buyers.
"If the goats purchased from us die, we will replace them at the price of the goats purchased. Alhamdulillah, none have died so far," explained Sodik.
Sodik said to ensure that the goats sold are healthy and do not die, primary care is always carried out. Whether they live in Dusun Cincin, Tumpang District or when they are brought to sell in Merjosari, all are well cared for.
"The goats we sell are all over two years old and their teeth are full. So they are very good to be used as sacrificial animals," said Sodik.
Sodik added that the sacrificial goats sold vary in price, starting from the cheapest at Rp2,5 million/head to the most expensive at Rp7,5 million. There are two types of goats sold, namely the Etawa type and the Javanese or Brenggala type.
"I am sure that even though it is currently the FMD season, the goats we sell will sell. Because we already have our own customers when selling here and always maintain quality," explained Sodik.
Sodik said that for now, he brought 55 sacrificial goats that were sold in Merjosari. He hopes that currently the buyers will remain busy, so that when he returns to Tumpang later he can bring a lot of money for the family. (cah/ram)
