Breadfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko opened the commemoration of Bung Karno's Haul with Tugu Media at Kanjuruhan University, Thursday (30/6/2022).
Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that Soekarno and Hatta were the founders of the nation who proclaimed Indonesia's independence. It is very important here as the next generation to emulate what has been done in filling Indonesia's independence.
"The great joy for all of us today in being able to feel independence cannot be separated from the struggles of the previous heroes, including Bung Karno," explained Bung Edi.
From history, people can know that the struggle of the nation was so heavy and winding. What Bung Karno experienced at that time was much heavier than what is experienced today. Therefore, from this activity, it can be a spirit that whatever problems the nation faces, there must be a way out.
"Thank you, Mr. Rector of Unikama and Tugu Media for the efforts in organizing this activity. Make this momentum as encouragement and motivation for all of us," he said.
By having values and fighting spirit, the Indonesian nation must continue to develop and do it without separating it from the nation's daily life. This is a very valuable momentum to never forget history.
"What Bung Karno did for this nation must be emulated. Of course, the spirit of struggle must continue to be ignited, including in the current time," he explained.
This momentum is an opportunity for everyone to pray for the founder of the nation, Soekarno who has saved this beloved country from colonization. Encouraging the spirit and soul of nationalism, joint prayers for the integrity, and the common welfare of the Indonesian nation.
