Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Titled Massive Action of the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) 2022, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) held training and mentoring for LPDP scholarship recipients and prospective micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on Saturday (2/7/2022) at the D3 Building of the Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. This annual Kemenkeu event was attended by participants from Malang Raya and several areas in East Java.

The program, which is also implemented online and presents speakers from alumni of LPDP scholarship recipients, is attended by participants from at least 34 districts/cities in East Java. The purpose of this program is to improve the competence of MSME actors and candidates. The materials embedded include design thinking, access to capital, marketing and branding strategies, as well as licensing and law.
Some of these things were conveyed by the LPDP Alumni Management Division of the Ministry of Finance, Laily Wido Mawarni after the opening of the event. The woman in the hijab said that some of the materials were adjusted to the survey results and the needs of the training and mentoring participants. So that the final results of this program are realized optimally, such as in producing reliable and independent MSME actors.
"From the previous event, we carried a number of themes, such as those related to education and health. For this year, because it is in synergy with the Ministry of Finance's program, namely one advanced UMKM, mentoring and training are carried out for UMKM actors. Until now, in East Java there have been 100 competitive UMKM actors and nationally there are around 16 thousand alumni who have received scholarships," added Laily.
No less important, he explained, this program will also help encourage the government's program in national economic recovery amid the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic and the revival of the community's economy. "We hope that various parties such as local governments and universities will contribute positively so that this program can be implemented optimally," he said.
A similar statement was delivered by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, who was present and opened the event. According to him, the program from the Ministry of Finance is in line with the program in the Malang City Government, where scholarships for outstanding students from underprivileged families continue to be rolled out.
"Of course we are very happy and will support programs like this. If programs like this are implemented regularly and there is continuous follow-up, it will produce many highly competitive and independent business actors. So that economic recovery from the regions will be affected nationally," explained the bespectacled man. (say/ram)
