"The purpose of this socialization is to provide information and education related to clinical signs, transmission, prevention of FMD as well as standard operating procedures (SOP) for the entry and exit of livestock while the FMD outbreak is still ongoing," he explained.

Drh. Anton explained, everyone must also coordinate with related agencies and cross-sectors such as Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas in the Malang City area so that prevention can run well and optimally.

Furthermore, he hopes that through this socialization, the Babinsa of Kodim 0833 can make efforts to prevent FMD by providing socialization to farmers to improve the quality of livestock feed, eliminate sources of infection by destroying limited or infected animals, eliminate the FMD virus by decontaminating cages, equipment, vehicles or other materials that can transmit the disease.

"We will continue to make efforts to prevent the occurrence of FMD. Because prevention is better than cure. So that later the FMD cases can continue to be suppressed, especially approaching Eid al-Adha so that farmers are not worried," he concluded. (say/ram)
