Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The takbir and lantern celebrations in Penanggungan Village, Malang City took place lively, Saturday (9/7/2022). Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko together with the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK Team Widayati attended the event to welcome Eid al-Adha.

Starting in front of the Brawijaya University Campus in Malang and finishing at the Heroes Cemetery in Malang City, the community seemed to be enjoying the activities. The echo of takbir, tahmid combined with oncor and lanterns echoed in the area along Jalan Mayjen Panjaitan, Penanggungan Village.
Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, admitted that he was grateful to be able to carry out an activity of gebyar takbir along with his lanterns in the Penanggungan Village area. This activity is very good and noble to strengthen the spread of Islam in Malang City.
“We always send our greetings and best wishes to our lord, the great prophet Muhammad SAW. "Hopefully his enthusiasm and intercession will be given to all of us," said Bung Edi.
It turns out that the takbir and parade activities tonight have not been able to be carried out for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That's why the community is so enthusiastic about participating in activities along Jalan Mayjen Panjaitan.
"This is a form of our gratitude, especially for the people of Penanggungan Village, Malang City, in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha," he said.
Penanggungan Village resident, Muhammad Amin, admitted that he was happy to be able to participate in the takbir and lantern activities of Penanggungan Village. This is because for more than two years in Penanggungan Village there have been no major activities carried out together since the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Hopefully activities like this can continue to be carried out in the future every year. In addition to welcoming Eid al-Adha, this activity is very good for bringing out the creativity of residents," explained Amin. (cah/ram)
