Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that after experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic for a long time and now the conditions are getting better, the Malang City Government continues to take various steps. "Future spending will be focused on restoring economic conditions after the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact," explained Bung Edi.
To restore the economy, one of them is to support the progress of the creative economy which has extraordinary potential. In addition, increasing human resources (HR), coupled with strengthening infrastructure that has now begun. "Poverty alleviation. Because the impact of Covid-19 is still felt, including in Malang City," said Bung Edi.
After the Covid-19 pandemic for two years, now is the time to solve those problems. Where poverty in Malang City will continue to be reduced, even though in reality in East Java, poverty in Malang City is already the second smallest in East Java after Batu City.
"The economy is supported in the creative industry. Therefore, how to strengthen the tourism side so that the creative economy can move and grow well," he said.
Do not forget that in order for progress in Malang City to be faster and more rapid, the government cannot do it alone. But it must collaborate with all parties including the community. It must continue to be done with various regions, including in Malang Raya and also in East Java.
