Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Senggol Celaket Market located on Jalan Tretes, Rampal Celaket Village, Klojen District, Malang City is one of the driving forces of the community's economy, especially for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Every Saturday and Sunday, hundreds of MSMEs from various types of products enliven the market and are visited by many people. So that the wheels of the economy are also moving amidst the beginning of the decline of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The existence of Pasar Senggol Celaket was also appreciated by the Chairperson of TP PKK Malang City, Widayati Sutiaji, who officially opened the market on Sunday (17/7/2022). This event was enlivened by a cultural parade by women who are members of the kebaya love community and various regional arts. According to her, all parties must support the existence of this market and similar markets. "MSMEs are the pillars of the national economy so they must continue to be strengthened," she appealed.
The woman in hijab added that her party will play an active role in realizing this, especially through mothers such as TP PKK from the RT and dasawisma levels. "We will later create UMKM products based on dasa wisma. And from this Senggol Celaket Market, economic, health and socio-cultural resilience will be realized. By working together, we are optimistic that this will be realized," said the wife of the Mayor of Malang.
As evidence and other forms of support from the Malang City PKK TP in the recovery and strengthening of the people's economy, explained Widayati, in the PKK TP building on Jalan Tangkuban Perahu, a 'Solution House' has been prepared. "In addition to providing coaching, we also facilitate UMKM actors to exhibit and sell their superior products at the Solution House," she explained.
Meanwhile, the initiator of Pasar Senggol Celaket, Hanan Jalil said that his party will continue to enliven the market with various arts and culture events to bring in government officials. Thus it will be a special attraction for people to come to this market.
"The establishment of this market is also based on mutual cooperation of several parties. Such as artists, youth organizations and UMKM actors. From jimpitan funds/voluntary funds, for example from the results of 'busking' by artists are collected and managed to meet the various needs/existence of this market," he explained. (say/ram)
