Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Since 2005, the community of vintage or antique motorbike lovers in Malang City, which is part of the Motor Antique Club Indonesia (MACI), has never held a large-scale meeting or meet-up.
But on its 21st anniversary, the longing of the community members was finally fulfilled. On Saturday (23/7/2022) to Sunday (24/7/2022) MACI Malang City invited community members from various regions in the country.
Coffee meetups and various activities were centered in the Ken Arok GOR area of Malang City. On Saturday, July 23, together with the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, hundreds of members of this community went around Malang City and passed a number of the city's iconic attractions. Such as Alun-Alun Tugu in front of the city hall, Kampung Warna Warni, Kampung Tridi and the Kayutangan Heritage area on Jalan Basuki Rahmad.
In this place, the man who is often called Bung Edi was named an extraordinary member of the community which was marked by the awarding of a special pin and membership card by the Head of MACI Malang. The bespectacled man also welcomed and appreciated this event. According to him, this birthday celebration is a means of communication between community members, so that the ties of friendship will automatically become stronger.
In addition, said Bung Edi, this will also be an effective way for the Malang City Government and MACI members in this city to promote the beauty, comfort and various advantages that exist. Such as beautiful scenery, cool air, the existence of various thematic villages and various culinary delights that would be a shame if not enjoyed by community members from outside Malang in particular.
From activities like this, Sofyan Edi said, in the future it will also boost the number of tourist visits and economic growth significantly. Therefore, various community activities of any kind that are positive like this must receive support from various parties. (say/ram)
