Starfruit, (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko attended the grebek event of 1 Suro or the 1444th Hijri New Year in RW 1, Blimbing Village, Malang City, Friday (29/7/2022).
In this raid, various agricultural products and children's snacks were paraded around the village by the community. This event cured the community's longing for togetherness after not being able to gather for a long time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, expressed his great pleasure in being able to attend RW 1 Blimbing Village, Malang City. He prayed that the thanksgiving celebration of the residents of RW 1 Blimbing Village could be realized as desired.
"Hopefully this form of gratitude will bring happiness, benefits, and blessings in the year 1444 Hijri," said Bung Edi.
Bung Edi also prayed that those who work will have smooth work, people who have not found a partner are prayed to find a partner. Those who have a business are expected to have their business run smoothly and easily develop.
"Before coming here, I was contacted by the RW if I had free time to come here. Alhamdulillah I can be here with the community," he said.
Resident of RW 1 Blimbing Village, Rudi Mulyanto said, this activity is a commemoration to welcome the arrival of 1 Suro or 1 Muharam. The activity was carried out to glorify the arrival of the new Hijri year 1444.
"This kind of commemoration has been held twice in RW 1. Thank God, we can hold it again this year," explained Rudi.
This is a form of gratitude from the residents for the blessings and gifts of God so far. Hopefully with this activity RW 1 Kelurahan Blimbing and the Indonesian nation will always be given ease and blessings and kept away from disasters. (cah/ram)
