Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The mission of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) to promote the creativity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the 7th National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi) Padang on 10-2022 August XNUMX was a success.
The embroidered daster products from the Red Tulip brand, which are the flagship, were immediately snapped up by a number of delegates who visited the Malang City booth on the first day of the 2022 Indonesia City Expo.
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji revealed that this is a national testimony of the quality of creative works from Malang City. "For the region and especially Malang City, this (Rakernas) is a place to promote potential. Superior products, so that the hope is that many people will come to Malang City and there will be a domino effect on the community's economy," explained Sutiaji.
It was recorded that a number of mayors and delegates from Tarakan, Mojokerto, and Makassar bought up Malangan daster products which have a wealth of motifs, are made from the best Japanese cotton in its class, and are made using handmade embroidery.
Meanwhile, Ike Vidya, owner of the Red Tulip brand, admitted that she was happy to be facilitated by the Malang City Government to participate in the exhibition which was attended by delegates from 98 cities throughout Indonesia.
"This is extraordinary support (from Malang City Government) for local UMKM. Not only house dresses, but also tablecloths, sandals, and bags. Initially we brought 130 pieces, only a few left. Later, another 150 pieces will come from Malang. We also get a lot of new market contacts," said Ike.
Ike hopes that in the future, marketing support for this kind of product will continue to be carried out even abroad. She also expressed her highest appreciation to the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji and the Chairperson of the Malang City Dekranasda Widayati Sutiaji who have provided support.
