Improving Digital Marketing for Startups and MSMEs in Malang City

Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City held a digital marketing workshop and certification at Indigo Space Malang City, Monday (8/8/2022). This event aims to increase the creativity of startups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital world, especially digital marketing.

Head of Tourism Marketing and Creative Economy, Disporapar Malang City, Sri Atika said that this event was held to increase the insight and players of startups and MSMEs in Malang City so that they can develop.

"In 2022, the Malang City Government through Disporapar will help startups and MSMEs to have very important certifications to support business development," explained Atika.

The activity at DILO Malang City will be held for four days, starting from 8-11 August 2022. The training will be carried out in a hybrid manner, where the first day will be held offline, the second and third days online, the fourth day there will be a competency test and the exam will be conducted offline at Indigo Space Malang.

The joint certification of Disporapar in collaboration with Intekraf was attended by 25 participants. In addition to being attended by startups and MSMEs, this activity was also attended by institutions and academics in Malang. This digital marketing workshop and certification activity uses the standards of the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

This workshop is the result of data collection from creative industry players in Malang City. Where for the creative industry one of the basic needs is digital marketing.

Indiekraf CEO, Muhammad Ziaelfikar Albaba said, this training collaborates with the Argia Academy institution as a facilitator. This activity will be a path opener for digital creative industry players in Malang. So that they understand more about digital marketing and can be standardized nationally.

"Thank you to Disporapar who was able to capture the main problems of creative industry colleagues so far, namely related to digital marketing. Hopefully, this workshop can help increase the capacity of colleagues. Moreover, it will be nationally standardized through BNSP," concluded Zoelfikar. (cah/ram)
