Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) is holding an Open Selection for Filling the Position of Pratama High Leaders. Now the selection process has reached the final stage of assessment, namely the Field Competency Assessment.
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji said that as a high-ranking official, one must be able to lead and motivate every state civil apparatus (ASN) in government agencies. This is in accordance with Law Number 5 of 2014.
"It is impossible to be a leader without having 'something'. A high-ranking leader must have technical competence, managerial competence, and socio-cultural competence. In addition, high-ranking leaders must have integrity and morals," he said while attending the Opening of the Field Competency Assessment held at the Savana Hotel and Convention, Thursday (11/8/2022).
Sutiaji also encouraged the candidates for high leadership to have loyalty to Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), Bhineka Tunggal Ika, and the legitimate government. According to him, in the midst of the rapidly changing world situation, of course the demands and challenges will be increasingly diverse.
"It is important to maintain solidarity and conduciveness. ASN is also required to be capable and adaptive. Which in the end is to achieve the target to serve the public as well as possible," he hoped.
Furthermore, this bespectacled man reminded the selection participants to be able to educate, facilitate, collaborate, and also know when it is time to apply pressure.
There are 10 high-ranking pratama leadership positions that are currently not held by definitive officials. The available high-ranking leadership vacancies are the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency; Head of the Public Library and Regional Archives Service; Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Service; Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Service of Malang City; Head of the Transportation Service; Head of the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service of Malang City; Head of the Manpower, Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Service; Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Areas Service of Malang City; Head of the Environmental Service; and Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service of Malang City.
Prior to this process, administrative selection and track record tracing have been carried out and qualified applicants have been obtained. The participants who passed the initial selection have been announced in the Decree of the Chairperson of the Open Selection Committee for Filling the High-Level Leadership Positions of the Malang City Government Number: 002/KEP/PANSEL-JPTPMLG/VII/2022 concerning the Results of the Administrative Selection and Track Record Tracing of the Open Selection for Filling the High-Level Leadership Positions of the Malang City Government. After that, the participants are required to take part in the managerial competency assessment (assessment method) and field competency assessment (writing, paper presentation, and interview).
