In his speech, President Jokowi said that Indonesia's economic fundamentals are very good amidst the turbulent world economy. However, Jokowi asked to remain vigilant and careful. There are big agendas of the nation that must continue to be continued to achieve a progressive Indonesia.

Jokowi, who this time wore traditional Bangka Belitung clothing, mentioned several strengths that have the potential to build Indonesia. The first strength is the ability to manage the pandemic well, thus of course Indonesia will be able to manage other agendas. Indonesia's second strength is its abundant natural resources which will become a great strength if they can be managed wisely and sustainably. Third, Indonesia also has a demographic bonus which will be the driving force of the economy to face global competition. Furthermore, the strength that Indonesia now has is the world's increasing trust.

"With such great strength and opportunity, we have a great opportunity to build an inclusive, just, and sustainable Indonesia. I invite all components of the nation to unite, to support the big agenda for achieving Advanced Indonesia with commitment and hard work, with innovation and creativity. Let us unite for Advanced Indonesia. Indonesia recovers faster, rises stronger," said Jokowi.

Responding to President Jokowi's State Address, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji said the key to success is mutual cooperation.

"One of our successes that the world sees is our success in suppressing the number of Covid-19. We are recognized by the world as a country that has succeeded in suppressing Covid. Because we have an extraordinary legacy in mutual cooperation. With mutual cooperation, we are optimistic for the future, with the note that we strengthen the Covid-19 protocol, we must not be careless," he said.

Sutiaji said that other countries' inflation rates could reach nine percent, some even reaching 30 percent, but Indonesia was able to reach 4 percent. This shows that the Indonesian economy is growing quite well. It is even predicted that this year's APBN will have a surplus.

"Indonesia, which has extraordinary natural wealth, has increased significantly. This is our strength. Furthermore, we need to respond in the future that our country must be built with the principles of togetherness and sustainability. Later, regional heads will no longer formulate their own programs, but will translate programs that have been determined by the central government," he concluded.

Sutiaji also mentioned that the target of Malang City is to implement the vision and mission of the central government. "All can be served, poverty decreases, the gap gini ratio, so that per capita income can increase," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, I Made Riandiana Kartika, SE emphasized that national development is not based on personal vision and mission, but must be through national direction. So that development can be sustainable, not dependent on regional leaders.

"All need hard work, all need precision in achieving goals. There should be no sectoral ego between regional devices. We want to rise together, build together, synergize together for the progress of Malang City," he said.

"Let us make the commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia as a moment to further strengthen the bonds of unity, supported by the theme 'Recover Faster, Rise Stronger'," he concluded. (ari/ram)
