Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Still in the series of lively celebrations of the 77th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Malang City Government held various traditional competitions. The series of competitions were opened directly by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang City, Thursday (18/8/2022).
Sutiaji said that currently, to enjoy the moment of holding the Independence Day celebration, after two years previously it stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Grateful and appreciative after more than two years we could not do activities freely. Today we can rejoice together meeting with relatives, chatting through activities, we mingle we eliminate all kinds of positions, that we are all children of the nation," he said.
Furthermore, Sutiaji also hopes that this event can be a place for ASN to relieve fatigue from daily work. It is hoped that after that, ASN can serve the community better.
"We have fun, get rid of all the stressful thoughts. Then after being fresh again, we can serve the community better," he concluded.
The series of events held on 18-19 August, included five competitions, starting from stilts, clogs, dagongan, gobak sodor, and sarung football.
The five competitions are divided into two categories, namely competitions for male participants consisting of stilts, clogs, and sarung football, as well as competitions for female participants, namely dagongan and gobak sodor.
Similar to the previous competition, this traditional competition was also attended by all ASN from 34 regional apparatuses, and BUMD. Not only the participants, the excitement of this competition was also lively with the presence of supporters of each team who came with various properties to support their respective teams.
