Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government in collaboration with BPJS Kesehatan presents the E-JKN Cekat (Fast, Effective, and Accurate) application. The application was inaugurated by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the Santika Premiere Hotel, Tuesday (23/8/2022).

E-JKN Cekat is a BPJS Kesehatan membership service application for Malang City residents. The application can be used as a submission and deactivation of BPJS Kesehatan membership funded by the Malang City Government, and can be accessed via https://ejkncekat.malangkota.go.id.
Mayor Sutiaji said, through E-JKN Cekat, it is hoped that the process of submitting National Health Insurance (JKN) membership for Malang City residents will be more effective, efficient, and targeted. The targets are residents with identity cards (KTP) and family cards (KK) of Malang City who do not yet have active national health insurance, as well as for people who want to deactivate their membership.
"This shows that we are transparent and increasingly open. There is smart which means there is efficiency, there is speed and accuracy. I thank and appreciate BPJS Kesehatan which continues to innovate information technology transformation and how health services to the community are getting better," said Sutiaji.
He further explained that Law Number 23 of 2014 mandates that regional governments are extensions of the central government, where one of the obligations that must be fulfilled is infrastructure, education and health. So how to ensure that the health of the people in the region is met properly is one of the obligations that must be carried out.
Meanwhile, Head of BPJS Kesehatan Malang Branch, dr. Dina Diana Permata, AAK revealed that through the inauguration of the E-JKN Cekat innovation, it is hoped that it will make it easier for people who are not yet registered for JKN to be recorded or registered. "Hopefully with the E-JKN application, the City Government can conduct data collection quickly, precisely and accurately for Malang City residents who will later need health insurance to be registered with BPJS Kesehatan," he explained.
Dina added that with E-JKN, Malang City residents can easily apply for registration or deactivation of membership in the JKN program online. So that applicants do not need to come directly to the BPJS Kesehatan office but can come directly to the sub-district office in their respective domicile areas.
For the participant submission flow, the sub-district enters the JKN submission data by the community, then the data that has been inputted will be verified by the relevant regional apparatus, namely the Dispendukcapil, Dinsos P3AP2KB, Disnaker PMPTSP, and the Health Office. The data that is verified includes population data, integrated social welfare data, worker data and other data as well as determining the level one health facility, then the application letter to BPJS will be sent to BPJS to be verified and registered for participation in JKN.
Meanwhile, for deactivation of membership, the flow is the same, the public can submit a one-stop application through the sub-district and can directly monitor the status of their application form through the application without having to come in person repeatedly for checking.
In addition to the launch of the E-JKN application, on this occasion the signing of the BPJS Kesehatan MoU with universities, namely Polinema, Poltekes Kemenkes Malang and Stikes Widyagama Husada Malang and has collaborated with Brawijaya University (UB) and Malang State University (UM). This collaboration is a follow-up to Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 concerning Optimization of the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Program so that it is hoped that all academics will be registered and UHC can be realized.
