Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Public health certainly has an important role in efforts to improve the quality of human resources, poverty alleviation, and economic development. "Gebrass activities are held once a month in Sukun Village. So, we go around to each RW, we will visit each RW once a year," said Endang.
In the activity held in RW 8 this time, Gebrass was also combined with the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas). "In May 2022, we invited community leaders to attend the Germas Forum. According to the follow-up, the Gebrass activities carried out by the Siaga Sukun Village also include Germas activities, for that, along with the Gebrass activities today, we also echo Germas in the Sukun Village," he said.
Endang explained that Germas is a systematic and planned action carried out together by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness, and ability to behave healthily to improve the quality of life. Germas is built on the concept of integrated and multi-sector disease control.
"The background is the increase in non-communicable diseases in productive age which causes the cost of treatment to increase. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate and synergize actions from promotive and preventive efforts of healthy living to increase population productivity and reduce the burden of health service costs due to disease. Germas is implemented in accordance with Presidential Instruction of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2017 concerning the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas)," he explained.
