Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – On Friday (2/9/2022) there was a change of leadership at RRI Malang City where Iwan Effendi, S.Sos., MM was replaced by Muhsin Zein, SE. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when attending the event expressed his congratulations and appreciation and basically a change of person in an institution is a common thing.
The bespectacled man said that the position, rank and position received is a mandate and must be guarded and carried out well. Because, in fact, everyone is a leader and later how their leadership will be held accountable by the Almighty.
With this new leadership, Mayor Sutiaji hopes that in the future RRI will be better in all aspects. As a Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) which is a mouthpiece for the government, RRI must continue to provide and improve literacy to the public, presenting intelligent and accurate information. "In accordance with its slogan, 'once on the air, always on the air', RRI must stand tall and withstand any blows," he explained.
Furthermore, the number one person in the Malang City Government said that the citizens of Malang City are very homogeneous and the media, especially RRI, can be present and can adjust to these conditions in presenting news or information. Moreover, currently approaching 2024 which is a political year and the warming up has started since 2020.
"Therefore, RRI is one of the media that is also a mouthpiece for the people and must be able to sterilize information without neglecting democracy. And from democracy what is desired is prosperity and welfare. So RRI must be a reference for what is right and what is wrong, can reflect education, advocacy, transparency that refers to Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Transparency," concluded Sutiaji.
