Ministry of Home Affairs' 10 Million Red and White Flags Movement Wins Muri, Regional Secretary Erik Appreciates All Ranks

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The movement to distribute 10 million red and white flags by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemedagri) which was also made a success by the Malang City Government (Pemkot) was recorded in the World Record Museum (MURI), Monday (5/8/2022).

Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT attended the Virtual MURI Record Certificate Presentation Ceremony at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC), Monday (15/8/2022).

 

The Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tito Karnavian, gave awards to regional heads who had supported the program implemented to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

Previously, as a form of support for the success of the 10 million red and white flag movement, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji symbolically handed over the red and white flag to five sub-districts in Malang City and representatives of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) during the morning assembly in the yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (1/8/2022). The ranks of the Malang City Government also held a red and white flag installation ceremony in Malang City, Monday (15/8/2022).

On that occasion, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian expressed his emotion over the enthusiasm and spirit of the Indonesian people in supporting and making the 10 Million Flags National Movement a success. According to Tito, the activity is one of the programs to maintain and develop the national insight of the Republic of Indonesia which is contained in the 4 pillars

"Indonesia has a unique country profile. The uniqueness of our nation, there are not many countries that are unique like Indonesia. The largest archipelago, from Sabang to Merauke. More than that, we are a very pluralistic country, something unique that must be maintained. Because it has various tribes, religions, cultures and languages," said Tito in his speech.

He further added, with the various diversities that are owned, the most important thing and must be grateful is that Indonesia is still united for 77 years. Can survive as one nation with its diversity. So he advised to continue to suppress differences and raise common interests to maintain and care for pluralism so that it can become a united nation.

"Our common interests must continue to be strengthened, one way is to take the momentum when there is a national event. August 17 is the momentum of the birth of a diverse nation, which unites us. The red and white flag is a symbol of our country, the movement of 10 million red and white flags all moving. So it is hoped that the fire of our togetherness is maintained, united in diversity," he said.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT who was present virtually via zoom at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) together with the ranks of the Malang City Government expressed appreciation and gratitude to all elements who have supported and made the movement to distribute 10 million red and white flags a success.

"Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm in making the National Movement for the Distribution of 10 Million Red and White Flags a success," said Regional Secretary Erik on the sidelines of the virtual handover of the MURI record certificate. (eka/ram)
