Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji welcomed the plan to implement the 2022 Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) which will be implemented by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in mid-October. This was conveyed during an audience with the Head of BPS Malang City, Erny Fatma Setyoharini, SE., MM at the Malang City Hall, Monday (5/9/2022).
Sutiaji said that Regsosek 2022 is in line with the idea of the importance of updating validated data in the social protection reform process. He also hopes that the activity will also present the side of community empowerment as much as possible.
"The role of community components in the survey can be a form of empowerment. Then next, of course we expect accurate data validation," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji emphasized that the Malang City Government is in principle ready to help make the program a success, which is one of the follow-ups to Presidential Instruction 4 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Eradication.
On the other hand, the mayor who loves cycling also hopes that the data collected by BPS can be accessed and help the Malang City Government in the regional development process.
Meanwhile, Erny in her presentation revealed that Regsosek 2022 will involve various parties in its implementation.
"Data collection is carried out through a census (door to door) by BPS partners, social workers in sub-districts, youth organizations, data work groups in villages and other partners," said Erny.
Regsosek 2022 will be held with the aim of providing a system and database of the entire population consisting of profiles, socio-economic conditions and welfare levels. The database will in the future be a reference for targets and integration of social protection and economic empowerment programs. (ndu/ram)
