Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In the context of field verification of Healthy Districts/Cities in 2022, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) received a visit from the coaching team and verification team from East Java Province at the Mini Block Office Meeting Room, Malang City Hall, Thursday (15/8/2022).
Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT said that the Malang City Government is committed to fulfilling access and quality of basic services for all Malang City residents, one of which is in the health sector.
"This commitment is included in the first mission of the Malang City RPJMD 2018-2023, namely ensuring access and quality of education, health and other basic services for all citizens. Where partisanship towards all levels is an inseparable part of achieving the vision and mission of development," explained Regional Secretary Erik.
The implementation of this healthy district/city is an effort to realize a clean, comfortable, safe and healthy area in order to achieve community welfare. Furthermore, Regional Secretary Erik explained that the Malang City Government has set several policy directions as an effort to realize Malang as a Healthy City.
"The first policy direction of Malang Healthy City is to guarantee access to health for all people in an effort to build a healthy and independent society. Second, to encourage facilities and infrastructure for a healthy city order," he explained.
Then the third is to increase community empowerment to the sub-district level. In addition, the Malang City Government also strengthens hexahelix collaboration in organizing a healthy city.
The healthy city order in the implementation of healthy districts/cities includes independent healthy community life, housing, people's markets, schools, places of worship, healthy tourism, transportation and orderly road traffic, offices and industry, social protection and disaster prevention and management.
In this field verification activity, the coaching team and the healthy district/city verification team from East Java Province reviewed three points that were the loci, namely Kasin Market, SMP Negeri 3, and Sabililah Mosque, Malang City. (eka/ram)
