The owner, Reza Bayu, revealed that the reason he opened this stall was because as an owner who has a hobby or likes beef offal culinary dishes, he had difficulty finding a similar stall in Malang City.
"So in November 2019, we started selling from home, namely in the Bulan Terang Utama Madyopuro Housing Complex. Initially, we served customers around the house, and also through online applications," said Reza.
Reza further explained that on July 1, 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, they decided to open the Sego Babat “Kang Reza” stall offline with a street food stall concept. The stall is located on Jalan Cokroaminoto Number 28, Klojen, Malang City.
"We sell various culinary products made from beef offal. The menus we offer include sego babat, sego usus, sego paru, sego ayam goreng, sego babat usus, sego babat paru and sego babat khusus," he explained.
In addition to the delicious and savory offal rice (rice) menu, Sego Babat “Kang Reza” also serves special onion chili sauce, which has a distinctive taste when compared to most onion chili sauces. This is what makes it unique and different from similar stalls.
"Our customers are dominated by workers or office workers or families. In fact, it is not uncommon for our stall to be visited by tourists on weekends who are on vacation in Malang City," added Reza.
Various delicious offal menus are priced starting from IDR 17 thousand. According to him, Warung Sego Babat "Kang Reza" has a flagship menu, namely special sego babat which is priced at only IDR 25 thousand. In this menu, customers can enjoy rice with side dishes of tripe, intestines and fried lungs complete with special spicy onion chili sauce.
