Malang City Baznas Distributes IDR 455 Million to Malang City Residents

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Distributing funds successfully collected from State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Malang City Government, the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Malang City held a distribution activity for zakat, infaq and alms (ZIS) funds. The handover of these funds was attended directly by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the Mini Block Office, Malang City Hall, Wednesday (28/9/2022).

Mayor Sutiaji said that Baznas is an extension of the Malang City Government holding today's activity. This activity is a form of duty and responsibility of Baznas Malang City which takes alms from ASN Malang City Government.

"Today, Rp445 million was handed over with various programs carried out, both for mosques, prayer rooms, education, house renovations, and also for cooperatives," explained Sutiaji.

From this activity, it is expected to further inspire the spirit of ASN Malang City to compete in goodness. Having a high spirit to help others in need.
"This activity is an effort to support our underprivileged brothers and sisters so that they can rise, grow and become empowered," said Sutiaji.

The Head of Basnas Malang City, Sulaiman said that today's activity is a fund distribution activity that has been entrusted by ASN Malang City to Baznas. Namely in the form of zakat and infak funds from muzaki donors.

"Today we are distributing funds from several applications submitted by the public since May," said Sulaiman.

This activity was also filled with the symbolic handover of several house renovations that had been carried out over the past three months. In addition, the establishment of cooperative institutions in three areas in Malang City, namely in Merjosari, Kiduldalem, and Sukoharjo.

"There are 105 home renovation applications submitted to Baznas Malang City. Until today, there are 24 houses that have been worked on by Baznas and symbolically, 13 houses were handed over today," explained Sulaiman. (cah/ram)
