Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Head of Public Relations of the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General of Police Dedi Prasetyo together with the East Java Forkopimda ranks on Tuesday (4/10/2022) visited the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy at the Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang (RSSA). This visit was to ensure the condition of the victims and to receive the best treatment.
Inspector General Dedi said that the DVI Polri team in collaboration with the East Java forensic medicine association and all hospitals in Malang City and Malang Regency have identified the number of victims. Both victims who died and those who are undergoing treatment and until now the number of victims who died is 125 people.
"Those treated at the RSSA Malang house from previously 56 people, now there are 30 people left and 7 of them are being treated in the ICU. While the bodies identified are 21. If there are victims who die or need treatment, they should immediately report to the relevant parties, so that confusing data does not circulate, the public," he explained.
This was also conveyed by the Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Elestianto Dardak. For those who need treatment, he said, they should report and the costs will be borne by the government. The person concerned will later be treated at the nearest hospital or health center.
These various steps were appreciated by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko who also joined the group. According to him, the Malang City Government will fully support and will help with various things needed by coordinating with other institutions.
"We have also set up a post in the city hall yard that can be used by the public for complaints or reports. Assistance to victims has also been distributed in collaboration with related parties. We are concerned and express our condolences for this tragedy," said the bespectacled man. (say/ram)
