Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The extended family of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) held a joint prayer to pray for the victims of the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy at the NCC Malang City Hall, Friday (7/10/2022). This joint prayer was also held virtually with junior high, senior high, and vocational high school students throughout Malang City.

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji said that this joint prayer activity was to pray for all Aremania who died in the tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium. The prayer was also to pray for the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy who were sick to be given a speedy recovery.
"This joint prayer by the Education and Culture Office is for the victims of the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy. Among the victims were also many students and teenagers," explained Sutiaji.
This activity is also an effort to instill the habit of doing good since early age in the school environment. Hopefully the tragedy in Kanjuruhan Stadium will not happen again in the future.
"The second activity is to remind everyone not to trivialize or underestimate small things," said Sutiaji.
The tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Mayor Sutiaji apologized because he saw the incident started from an attitude of trivialization. Where the incident started with a child running down to the field. Although the goal may have only been to take a selfie or greet the players, such things can have bad consequences. For the incident, of course the first person to run at Kanjuruhan Stadium must have felt regret, because from the beginning his intention was only to provide support, it turned out that others followed.
