Malang, (malangkota.go.id) –Condolences and concern for the victims of the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji came directly to the funeral home of the late Ibnu Muhammad Rafi on Jalan Ranau I Gang IIB No. 5 RT 3 RW 5 Kelurahan Sawojajar, Tuesday (11/10/2022).
Mayor Sutiaji who was present with his wife also led a joint prayer to pray for the late Rafi. Sutiaji also did not forget to provide motivation so that the bereaved family would always be given fortitude. Sutiaji expressed his condolences on behalf of the Malang City Government for the disaster that occurred. Hopefully, the incident at Kanjuruhan Stadium can be a lesson for all to be more careful in every action taken.
"We pray that the deceased will be given the best place by His side. The family left behind will always be given fortitude," said Sutiaji.
In addition to providing motivation, Sutiaji also provided compensation for the victim's family and presented a trauma healing team to provide assistance to the victim's family.
The biological mother of the late Ibnu Muhammad Rafi, Sumiarsih, said she did not expect at all that the tragedy that befell her third child would occur. Because when they came to Kanjuruhan Stadium, the victim's three siblings also watched the match.
"But at that time Rafi did not want to watch in the VIP stands even though he had bought a VIP ticket. He chose to watch in the economy stands with his friends," said Sumiarsih.
Sumiarsih admitted to being very shocked when she heard the news that her third child was a victim at Kanjuruhan Stadium. She never expected that she would be abandoned so quickly by her beloved child.
"Although he is in grade XI of SMAN 10 Malang, Rafi is still a spoiled child who likes to be fed while eating. This makes me always remember Rafi who has gone before us," explained Sumiarsih. (cah/ram)
