Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) continues to take various steps in response to the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy, including strengthening psychological support or trauma healing for victims and their families in addition to providing health services.
This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when visiting the residence of the deceased victim with the ranks of the Malang City Government regional apparatus in the Kedungkandang District, Tuesday (11/10/2022).
"We visited here in addition to providing reinforcement to the heirs or families of the victims, of course we also express our condolences. Previously we have gone around, today we continue again as a form of our concern for the bereaved families," said Sutiaji.
He explained that the Malang City Government and the trauma healing team continue to provide psychological assistance to all victims. Currently, the Malang City Government is also still opening a crisis center post in the yard of Malang City Hall for Malang City residents who need information and are open to receiving reports related to the health of Malang City residents affected by the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy.
"We will continue to provide psychological assistance, not only for the families of the 30 victims who died but also for the victims who are currently being treated and their families. Earlier we had time to dig up information, there are friends of the victims who need assistance, we have recorded them," he explained.
He further added that, in addition to expressing condolences to the victims and providing support to the families of the victims, there may also be other information that has not yet reached the crisis center, so that his party can go directly to the victims.
"This is a form of our commitment, while taking inventory of aid from the president, governor, city government, ministry of social affairs, Bank Jatim, whether it has arrived or not. I checked by coming directly, while God willing there will still be aid given yesterday by Nirwan Bakrie. God willing there will be more later we continue to try to ease the burden although I apologize this cannot exchange the lives of our brothers who have gone before us all," he said.
This is a form of empathy from the community and government, showing that the government is present. He added that so far there have been around 16 to 17 people who have received psychosocial aspects through mentoring visits by the team.
"It will be continued in turns to other sub-districts, families certainly continue to lose anyone who must feel that way while we provide reinforcement so that telephone number data is requested if at any time there are complaints.
