Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Of the 132 victims who died in the Kanjuruhan tragedy, 30 of them were residents of Malang City and 10 victims were in the Kedungkandang District and were visited by Drs. H. Sutiaji as mayor on Tuesday (11/10/2022). Also attending the group were several heads of departments, village heads, sub-district heads and trauma healing teams who at this moment also distributed social assistance.
Mayor Sutiaji said that his presence was also a form of empathy and condolences. The bespectacled man hopes that all of this can ease the burden of the victim's family, especially with the assistance of the trauma healing team. So that the victim's family does not experience depression and can slowly accept that this tragedy is a disaster and a test from the Almighty.
The number one person in the Malang City Government said that the families of the victims generally experienced severe trauma and still could not forget the deceased family members. "They also asked for help so that the government immediately investigates various matters related to the Kanjuruhan tragedy. They also hope that similar incidents will not happen again in the future," he explained.
"On average, the victim's family was indeed shocked, surprised and also asked for accountability from the parties to thoroughly investigate the incident that befell the victim on October 1, 2022," added Sutiaji.
From this visit, he said that his party also wanted to ensure that various social assistance from the central government and East Java Province was received by the victim's family. While the visit and provision of social assistance for the remaining 20 families will be scheduled for another time.
