Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji delivered his response to the general views of the DPRD factions regarding the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranpenda) on the Malang City Spatial Plan for 2022-2042 in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Wednesday (12/10/2022).
On that occasion, Sutiaji explained that one of the things that needed to be in accordance and strengthened was related to educational areas. In addition, related to the firmness of zones and commitment to fulfilling green open spaces (RTH) also became a point in the discussion of the RTRW Draft Regulation.
"Indeed, our discussion process is long, because there is an audit of the use of the area and so on. Second, the name of the RTRW is like a house renovation, what about the existing one, we will strengthen it later, of course, those that do not violate. It's like this house is renovated, not completely demolished. If the zone, the zone points are all there," he explained when met according to the plenary meeting.
Previously, on Monday (10/10/2022), a plenary meeting was held with the agenda of conveying the general views of the DPRD factions regarding the Draft Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for Malang City for 2022-2042.
According to him, what needs to be in accordance and strengthened here are educational areas. Where in the previous Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR) in 2017, all educational areas were only allowed to be up to 4 floors or around 12-20 meters. So it requires adjustments to the current existing,
"Now this is all straightened out, there is no limitation on the number of building heights in the education area. Then the building height in macro terms, now the maximum is given 125 meters, approximately between 25 to 30 floors. This has been communicated with the airlines, whether it is disturbing or not," he added.
He further stated that the objectives of spatial planning are still in line with the city's tribina cita, where the objectives of spatial planning include realizing an educational city, with economic development, which includes the development of industry, tourism, and the creative economy.
"For the last calculation of green open space that has been handed over to us as a park at 17 point something percent, meaning less than 2 point something percent. Of course, in a period of 20 years, we have a commitment to buy 1 hectare a year and so on. Yesterday we initiated to buy the 100 hectares. Automatically, our limit is towards the fulfillment of public green open space," he concluded. (eka/ram)
