Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Collaborating with the Indonesian Community Recreational Sports Committee (KORMI) of Malang City, Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya held a push bike championship at the Rampal field in Malang City, Saturday, October 15, 2022. The event, which was held to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the TNI, was attended by 150 participants aged 2-6 years from various regions in East Java, such as Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Blitar.
The Head of KORMI Malang City who is also the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko hopes that in the future there will be skilled push bike athletes with a champion mentality at the regional and national levels. In addition, he will also produce a future generation of the nation who are physically and mentally healthy and enjoy sports.
"From this sport, no less important, it will also continue to improve children's skills, balance and competitive spirit. So that these early age children have a strong soul and mentality," added the bespectacled man.
This competition, explained the man who is often called Bung Edi, has started to run well at the regional or national level. Therefore, if the competition at the regional level is carried out, then there will be children who have the potential to become representatives of Malang City in participating in competitions at the regional or national level.
Bung Edi said that the collaboration carried out by the TNI ranks with various parties will bring a big positive impact. Of course, not only in the field of recreational sports and fostering friendship with the community but also for sports achievements in the future. "Like football, badminton, swimming and volleyball," he said.
A similar statement was delivered by the Head of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, Coordinator of the Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya Branch, Novia Imam Gogor. According to him, a championship like this will also strengthen the communication and friendship between the local government, TNI-Polri, the community and athletes.
"The purpose of this competition is to strengthen the potential and talent in increasing creativity, fostering the spirit to continue to achieve achievements in the Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya area. From this competition, it is also a unifier between the government, TNI Polri and the people, especially on the 77th anniversary of the TNI this time," he concluded. (say/ram)
