Malang Mayor Again Distributes Social Assistance to Families of Kanjuruhan Tragedy Victims

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji again distributed social assistance (bansos) for the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy that occurred on October 1, 2022. This time, on Monday (17/10/2022), the target was the families of the deceased victims in the Lowokwaru District. They are the family of the late Muhammad Febriansyah on Jalan Rebab Number 219 RT 2 RW 5, Tunggulwulung Village.

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji distributed social assistance (bansos) to the victims of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy, Monday (17/10/2022).

Next is the family of the late Achmad Wahyudi on Jalan Kertoleksono Number 6 RT 7 RW 3 Ketawanggede Village. The family of the late Vera Puspita Ayu on Jalan Bunga Cendana Bawah 48 RT 7 RW 2 Jatimulyo Village and the family of the late Alfinia Maharani Putri on Jalan Selorejo Block C Number 11 RT 3 Rw 15 Lowokwaru Village.

Not only distributing aid, Mayor Sutiaji also expressed his deepest condolences and held a joint prayer at each funeral home accompanied by several heads of regional apparatus. According to him, at a moment like this, his party wanted to share the hardship and provide strength to the families of the victims. "Hopefully, from this incident, it will provide more strength, faith and patience for the families and accept this disaster with an open heart," he added.

Furthermore, the number one person in the Malang City Government said, for each victim's family, he emphasized that everything on this earth is God's choice and later all will return to Him and that is definitely the best. However, sometimes from all that, sometimes from that perspective it is not good, but be sure that God must have something better behind all that.

"The most important thing right now is that we always pray for all the victims who died or are being treated so that they are given the best. Behind a disaster, God Almighty must have a plan and we can take wisdom from all of that so that we can become better people in the future," said Sutiaji.

When asked about the ongoing legal process or resolution of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, Mayor Sutiaji said that his party would also monitor it according to the limits of authority. "We certainly hope that all of this ends well and the parties get justice and those who are proven to have violated the law get the appropriate punishment," he concluded. (say/ram)
