Lebak Regent Learns Tips for Successfully Increasing PAD in Malang City

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) received a Working Visit (Kunker) from the ranks of the Lebak Regency Government to learn how Malang City successfully increased its original regional income (PAD).

On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji welcomed and directly received the visit led by the Regent of Lebak, Hj. Iti Octavia Jayabaya, SE., MM in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Wednesday (19/9/2022).

Sutiaji said that the success of Malang City in increasing PAD was achieved through various breakthroughs and innovations, namely the Electronification of Regional Government Transactions (ETPD).

"Collaborative development with the role of hexahelix is ​​a model for Malang City. Fiscal independence is very important and continues to be encouraged through various breakthroughs and innovations to strengthen PAD," said Sutiaji.

He further explained that common obstacles in regional tax management continue to be addressed together through strengthening in various sides and aspects. The direction of this strengthening includes optimizing information technology, strengthening law enforcement and tax administration reform, increasing human resource capacity.

"Other strengthening directions are cooperation with agencies, optimization of regional and community institution roles, adjustment of tax base, innovation of easy services for taxpayers and intensification and extensification. ETPD is an effort to change regional government revenue and spending transactions from cash to digital-based non-cash," he explained.

The form of electronic transactions of local government (ETPD) includes, among others, Electronic Tax Payable Notification Letter (E-SPPT), open payment as a solution for paying local taxes through payment locations coordinated by perception banks. Furthermore, there is e-BPHTB which is a service for land and building acquisition fees electronically or digitally, and e-TAX, namely a system or application for recording taxpayer transactions online.
