Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Hundreds of Arema supporters expressed their desire that the Kanjuruhan tragedy be immediately investigated thoroughly. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji also immediately met the Aremania and Aremanita who gathered in the yard of Malang City Hall, Thursday (20/10/2022) afternoon.
Sutiaji said that Aremania are supporters who love football and peace. Seen during the demonstration this afternoon, Aremania did not riot and create chaos, and were able to control themselves. Sutiaji emphasized that Aremania loves football and loves peace.
"Of course we show the world that there was no riot at all carried out by Arema supporters from the beginning to the end. For years we have been guarding the team we love and there was no riot. For that, show that Malang loves peace," he invited.
Sutiaji stated that this case must continue to be monitored. This case has become a national and world concern. "The government has tried through the president directly. That means we are not playing around," he explained.
"We must see this process, there must be no manipulation and so on. The point is, maybe we can lie, but Almighty God cannot be lied to. I think #usuttuntas has become our shared commitment. Let's monitor it continuously," he said.
Sutiaji also invited Aremania to sit together and pray for the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy. (ari/ram)
