Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government continues to strive to improve parking services through digitalization through e-parking trials using Android Mobile Point of Sales (MPOS) at a number of parking points.

Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub), Drs. R. Widjaja Saleh Putra revealed that this breakthrough aims to provide better parking and increase parking service fees.
"Parking is one of the concerns, we are gradually improving it. Including this MPOS, we have been testing it in the CFD area and the Macito bus stop since this October," said Widjaja, Monday (24/10/2022).
He illustrated that technically when a vehicle enters the parking area, the officer then inputs the vehicle number on the device. The parking ticket is handed over to the user concerned.
Then when the vehicle exits, the ticket is returned to the parking attendant and payment can be made in cash or non-cash using QRIS. The proof of payment printed by the machine is then submitted to the parking user.
"In the system, all historical activities are recorded, so that parking attendant activities can be monitored (for example, at parking point A, how many vehicles are parked and the history of the nominal parking fees). Alhamdulillah, from the initial evaluation, there was an increase in the collection of fees," added Widjaja.
After the evaluation phase, the implementation method and tools will be refined. This is so that the implementation can be expanded by first providing guidance to parking attendants regarding the implementation of the system.
The presence of this mobile method also supports the implementation of parking digitalization which has begun with the operation of a number of electronic parking gates in Malang City. Such as in the Gajayana Stadium area, Kartini Building, Integrated Office and Malang City Hospital. (ndu/ram)
