Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) through the Health Service (Dinkes) held a nutritious action to commemorate Youth Pledge Day and National Health Day, Wednesday (26/10/2022). The event, which was held through multi-sector coordination, was held at two high schools in Malang City, namely SMP Negeri 1 Malang City and MTs Negeri 2 Malang City, and was attended by hundreds of students in grades VII, VIII, and IX.

Head of Public Health, Drg. Betty Rosmawati said, This nutritious action activity was also carried out simultaneously nationally and specifically targeted young women as direct beneficiaries of this activity. Betty also mentioned that in this event, a joint consumption activity of blood-boosting tablets (TTD) was carried out for female students.
According to Betty, this was done because of the awareness that the level of anemia cases among teenage girls and pregnant women in Indonesia is still quite high. Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) Data 2018 states that around 3 out of 10 children in Indonesia suffer from anemia, so a movement is needed that can foster consumption behavior among teenage girls.
"This activity is also expected to motivate other schools to routinely carry out #AksiBergizi activities as a form of effort to improve adolescent nutrition and prevent anemia in adolescent girls, thus supporting the prevention of stunting nationally," he said.
In addition to holding joint TTD consumption activities, this event was also filled with joint gymnastics and flashmob events attended by all students, as well as filled with interactive educational activities of nutritious action, filling in the Prevent Anemia for Indonesian Teenagers (Ceria) application by female students at the two schools. Filling in the application was carried out to increase the need and compliance of TTD consumption among young women. In addition, this application can also help schools in encouraging monitoring of TTD consumption. (ayu/ram)
