Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang Fashion Week (MFW) 2022 event, which was attended by many participants, made this event even more lively and full of charm. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji opened this proud event of Malang City directly from the Trans Mart yard, Thursday (27/10/2022).
The opening was held cheerfully, showcasing the works of great designers who are well-known both at home and abroad. Among them were Wening Angga, Lili, Ina Priono, Heyden NG, Afif Sakur, Irma, Hannie Hannanto, Fomal, Tifa, Danjyo Hiyoji, Philip Iswardono, Yunita Kosasih, Chaeralee, Wignyo Rahadi, Alfatir, Yeni Topiah.
Sutiaji expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the fifth Malang Fashion Week, the implementation of which was very proud. Where in its activities not only presented its designers, but also maintained the quality of publications, increased the market and also creatively advanced MSMEs.
"I think this activity will show that in Malang City, activities are not only pentahelix but also hexahelix," explained Sutiaji.
In this case, banking has become a separate community to provide reinforcement to the creative economy. Therefore, it is not wrong if in the future Malang City will become a learning center including in the implementation of hexahelix.
"There is a community that is not only personal. But it has become an extraordinary force," explained Sutiaji.
Malang City is not only designing but also how to maintain quality. It does not stop there, how e-commerce will be strengthened. This needs to be shown together that the five Malang Fashion Week events are getting more and more substantial from day to day.
With participants continuing to grow since the first Malang Fashion Week until now, the participants have also increased. If it is opened continuously, it will definitely increase, not just four days but more.
"We hope that with continued support from the government, banks and sponsors, the Malang Fashion Week can last longer in the future. Not only four days but also seven full days as the name suggests, fashion week," said Sutiaji.
The founder of Malang Fashion Week, Dr. C. Agus Sunandar, S.Pd., M.Sn expressed that as the Founder of Malang Fashion Week, he felt proud because it had experienced extraordinary development. Where the fifth Malang Fashion Week was attended by 276 designers from within and outside the country so that its implementation had to be carried out for four days.
"There are so many participants that we have to do it for four days. Where every day there are four show slots with a one-hour break so that there are more show slots until the evening," said Agus. (cah/ram)
