Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Malang State University, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 inaugurated Prof. Dr. Haryono, M. Si as the Chancellor of Malang State University for the 2022-2027 period. From the inauguration held at Graha Cakrawala, Haryono replaced Rofiudin who previously served as the chancellor for two terms at this institution.
Haryono admitted that he would continue all the previous rector's programs so that in the future this institution would be more advanced and modern and highly competitive. No less importantly, Haryono wanted to re-emphasize and implement to his staff that the vision of this university is as a State University with Legal Entity (PTNBH). This institution's function is different from its previous status, namely PTNBLU or State University with Public Service Agency.
"As a PTNBH, Universitas Negeri Malang must not only be able to maximize budget absorption but must also create maximum absorption. So the institution must maximize the potential of infrastructure and human resources for the benefit of the community in general," he added.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Erik Setyo Santoso hopes that this university will also make a greater contribution to society. Such as from published journals or from the results of its research can be enjoyed and utilized by all levels of society. Especially in improving the quality of human resources and boosting the economy of society.
"State University of Malang is currently fully managed as a State University with Legal Entity. Thus, State University of Malang must be able to cooperate with its stakeholders, with stakeholders for better governance," said the man who is also the regional secretary of Malang City Government.
