Bung Edi, the nickname of the Deputy Mayor of Malang, said that this stunting audit was conducted to see in detail the stunting cases that occurred and identify the factors causing stunting cases in Malang City. He also said that this audit was conducted to explore and find solutions to existing cases, as well as provide recommendations for prevention in the future.

On this occasion, Bung Edi also said that the movement to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates is a shared responsibility of all parties so that cooperation between parties is needed in realizing the acceleration of the reduction of stunting rates in Malang City.

"This meeting reaffirms that this movement is part of a movement that must be carried out together. It has been running, but how can we spread it evenly, especially in each sub-district so that it can be seen and measured at the sub-district level," he said.

He also thanked the various parties included in the city-level stunting reduction acceleration team. According to him, efforts and optimization of stunting rate interventions can be reduced, have been carried out and are increasingly evenly distributed in each work area.

"I am very grateful to the stunting reduction team who are willing to innovate, especially to maximize existing potential. Some work together with medical friends, clinics and others to realize this stunting reduction. Although there is no APBD fund, so there needs to be innovation and creativity as well as intensive handling for children who have been recorded as stunted in Malang City," he said.

Furthermore, Mr. Edi also said that this stunting audit is the right momentum to design a work plan, which will later become a reference for activities in 2023, including evaluating steps that have been designed in 2022 but have not been implemented.

"Yesterday, a discussion was held and several programs in the APBD in both 2022 and 2023 have been accommodated. Strategic potentials can be mobilized to accelerate (stunting reduction), because the targets have been recorded. In 2022, what will be the stunting rate, in 2023, what will be the stunting rate in Malang City, have also been determined. This is the goal and direction and achievement that we hope for," he added.
