Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City, R Dandung Djulharjanto, expressed his gratitude for this activity. As a campus that has a pioneering Water Resources Engineering major in Indonesia, this activity is very good.

"Until now, the problem of flooding is a problem that is a complaint of the community. Therefore, with this activity we hope that it can be a good education to invite the community to protect the river," explained Dandung.

Dandung added that waste management in this case in the river is one of the tasks and functions of DPUPRPKP which will currently be carried out together. Hopefully this activity will benefit the community.
"Specifically inviting the public to love rivers and water channels more by not littering," said Dandung.

This involves students of Water Resources Engineering as a real effort that the campus does not only conduct education and research, but also for community service. This service is done by cleaning the river.

"This time we are cleaning the river in two locations," said Lily.
