Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In order to support increasingly excellent and inclusive public information disclosure services, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) presents various breakthroughs and innovations, one of which is the text to speech feature on the website ppid.malangkota.go.id.

This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji in the middle of the 2022 Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev KIP) interview session held by the East Java Provincial Information Commission online at the Ngalam Command Center in Malang City, Tuesday (8/11/2022).
Through this feature that converts text into voice, all Indonesian people, especially residents of Malang City, including people with disabilities, are given the convenience of accessing public information and making requests for public information.
"Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure is related to Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services in which there are public rights that we must fulfill as our obligation, this is what we are strengthening," explained Sutiaji.
Furthermore, Sutiaji explained that Public Information Disclosure is an important part of achieving the fourth mission of the Malang City RPJMD. The fourth mission contains the Malang City Government's commitment to ensuring public satisfaction with government services that are orderly, professional, and accountable.
"When we are open to information, God willing, our public trust will be stronger. When public trust in our institutions is high, the government's legitimacy will be stronger. When our legitimacy is stronger, all of our programs will receive support from the public," he said.
Every aspect of public information services continues to be improved, starting from updating regulations, strengthening human resources to fulfilling facilities and infrastructure. All parties synergize in overseeing the openness of public information towards an informative Malang City.
“Public information transparency continues to be strengthened, where it is not only the responsibility of the Communication and Information Service but also all regional apparatus/work units. The commitment to the public information service budget in the APBD also continues to be maintained amidst the pandemic. Public information list documents are available on various channels. It is increasingly easy for the public to access and adaptive to technological developments,” explained Sutiaji.
With all the breakthroughs and innovations, as well as optimization of digital technology, it is hoped that the public can be closer to accessing public information request services anywhere and anytime. The public can also be closer to accessing various important links such as the SAMBAT Online complaint channel, SP4N Lapor, Call Center 112, Malang Satu Data, and so forth. (eka/ram)
