Diskopindag's Efforts to Advance Cooperatives in Malang City

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) of Malang City held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for the Cooperative Health Inspection Working Paper (KKPKK) Based on the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Regulation Number 9 of 2020 at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Monday (14/11/2022).

Head of the Malang City Trade and Industry Office, Eko Sri Yuliadi, said that in order to develop cooperatives in Malang City, various efforts need to be made, including technical guidance.
"To be able to advance cooperatives, one of them is by improving the human resources they have. This activity is part of Malang City's efforts to advance cooperatives," explained Eko.

Eko added, by improving the ability of cooperative managers in Malang City, it is hoped that cooperatives in Malang City can be healthier. The goal is to manage healthy KSP/USP cooperatives and in accordance with laws and regulations.

"By understanding the rules, it is hoped that excellent service can be realized for cooperative members. So that cooperatives can be healthy and develop well," said Eko.

In addition, it also increases the awareness of cooperative administrators and managers in completing permits in accordance with statutory provisions. Can improve the implementation of the cooperative's annual member meeting.

Currently in Malang City there are 622 cooperatives, of which 61 cooperatives are declared healthy and 90 cooperatives are categorized as quite healthy. It is hoped that with continued coaching, more cooperatives in Malang City will be categorized as healthy.

This activity was attended by 100 participants from cooperative administrators in Malang City. The activity was divided into two sessions and carried out for four days. The first batch was held on Monday, November 14-15, 2022. While the second batch was held on Wednesday, November 15-17, 2022.

Chairman of Commission B of the Malang City DPRD, Trio Agus Purwono welcomed the coaching for cooperative administrators in Malang City. He hopes that cooperatives can further increase their role in Malang City. "Cooperatives are the mainstay of the economy in Indonesia, of course it is very good to hold activities like this. We hope that participants will follow the activities well so that the results can really bring many benefits," said Trio. (cah/ram)
