Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The implementation of the 21th National Journalist Sports Week (Porwanas) in Malang which was held from 27-2022 November XNUMX received appreciation from the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali. According to him, the sports festival led by the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) will further strengthen the synergy between the government and media crews.

That was what the Minister of Youth and Sports conveyed at the opening of the 21th Porwanas on Monday night, November 2022, XNUMX at Graha Cakrawala, State University of Malang. Minister Zainudin said that this event was a real manifestation that PWI has great concern for the world of sports. So that in the future it is hoped that the nation's sporting achievements will be even better and speak more in the national and international arenas.
In addition, Zainudin said, the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) program will be implemented and realized optimally. From all that, the Ministry of Youth and Sports believes it is not just a dream. In this context, previously the Ministry of Youth and Sports has signed a cooperation agreement with PWI to advance sports.
"Journalists who are members of PWO or Siwo PWI are an important part of improving Indonesia's sports achievements, I believe that. With this good synergy and collaboration, I hope that Indonesian sports will be even more glorious, make this nation even prouder and make Indonesia's name even more famous on the international stage," he explained.
Through this synergy, Menpora Zainudin hopes that sports will no longer be number two but become a priority choice for the community. In this regard, the government will give greater appreciation and awards to anyone who achieves. "For athletes who are still studying, academic and sports achievements must and will go hand in hand," he said.
The statement was agreed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji. According to him, the City of Malang will fully support the Kemenpora program. "So far we have been intense in the field of sports so that talented athletes are born," he explained on the sidelines of the opening event.
If Malang City is appointed as one of the places to train and produce athletes from an early age, as planned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the number one person in the Malang City Government admitted that he was ready.
