Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) continues to strive to improve the value of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) and Bureaucratic Reform (RB).
This commitment was realized by the Malang City Government through the Organizational Section by holding a workshop on improving SAKIP achievements and Bureaucratic Reform (RB) at the Savana Hotel, Tuesday (21/11/2022).
"On this occasion, there will be speakers from the Provincial Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) who will jointly transfer knowledge, knowledge because DIY is the only one whose SAKIP value is AA," explained the Head of the Organization Section, Boedi Utomo, SE., M.Si in his remarks when opening the workshop.
Boedi hopes that through the commitment that continues to be built together with all regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government, in the future Malang City can get an increase in value from the SAKIP and RB evaluations.
"Because he has many strategies in order to invite all regional apparatus in Yogyakarta Province to work together to increase the value," continued Boedi.
In the past two years, the implementation of SAKIP and RB has brought significant changes to the governance of the Malang City Government. In 2020, Malang City for the first time achieved the SAKIP A predicate. Where the SAKIP A predicate was maintained in 2021 with the bureaucratic reform predicate from predicate B rising to level BB.
"Secondly, coincidentally in Yogyakarta Province, the RB assessment is also A. A is coincidentally the best score. In Malang City, our SAKIP score is A for RB, we are still at BB. Maybe later we need to be given knowledge," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the DIY Provincial Bappeda, Drs. Beni Suharsono, M.Si who was also a resource person on the occasion said that SAKIP is part of bureaucratic reform.
"Strengthening performance accountability is one of the strategies to accelerate the implementation of bureaucratic reform to realize a capable government and improve the quality of public services. Where SAKIP is one of the pillars of RB," he explained.
He further conveyed as conveyed by the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan HB X that SAKIP is a form of appreciation for the community. Every rupiah spent by the community through taxes and levies should return to the community. The government must be able to account for the use of the rupiah as much as possible for the welfare of the community.
"In providing public services, with improvements so that they can provide services as expected by the public. Together we learn to improve performance, help realize a prosperous society. The hope is that Malang City's target is SAKIP from A to AA," he said.
On that occasion, Beni explained various strategies ranging from performance planning, performance measurement, performance reporting to performance evaluation. Present with Beni who also became a resource person in the workshop on improving SAKIP and RB achievements, Head of the Standardization and Public Service Section of the Organization Bureau of the DIY Provincial Secretariat, Abu Yazid, S.IP., MM, and staff in charge.
