Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In the midst of the current rainy season and extreme weather, it has triggered disasters in several areas, such as in West Java which was hit by floods. No exception in several points in the city of Malang where landslides and overflowing rivers overflowed into residential areas.

From this condition, prayers were offered by thousands of Muslims at the Gajayana Stadium on Tuesday (29/11/2022) night. Labeled Malang Berselawat in order to commemorate Santri Day and Heroes' Day, the community who are members of the Ar-Ridwan congregation offered prayers and offered prayers for the disaster that occurred in the archipelago.

Including the Kanjuruhan tragedy which until now has not been resolved. Hopefully the disaster that claimed 135 lives and hundreds of people undergoing treatment will soon be healed, and those who died will be accepted by His side. No less important, their families will also be given fortitude and patience.

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji after praying with the habaib also invited all people to save the earth from various disasters. Meanwhile, regarding the current disaster, according to the number one person in the Malang City Government, it is a test from the Almighty.

"We must be patient and self-aware in facing this trial. If we are still tested or given a test, then it is proof that God still loves us. And what needs to be realized is that whatever test comes will definitely not exceed the limits of human ability," said Mayor Sutiaji.

With many people praying like this, he said, the earth will be more friendly to humans. So he appealed to maintain the sustainability and ecosystem of the earth well. "The occurrence of disasters triggered by the destruction of nature is certainly due to human carelessness. Therefore, let us care about nature so that nature will be friendly to us," added the bespectacled man.

Meanwhile, regarding the Malang Berselawat event, Mayor Sutiaji expressed his gratitude for the presence of the habaib and the congregation who were orderly when reciting the salawat. "Let's always join hands to maintain and care for this brotherhood, so that harmony between religious communities is also closely knit throughout time," he invited. (say/ram)
