Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In order to introduce the paintings of the young people of Malang, Asta Citra Perupa Malang (ACPM) held an exhibition at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Thursday (1/12/2022).

Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disbudporapar) of Malang City, Baihaqi, admitted that he was happy that Malang City artists could exhibit their extraordinary works. Activities like this must be supported to grow the creative industry in Malang City.
"We are proud that Malang City's fine arts artists are holding this exhibition. This is very much in line with the Malang City Government's policy to support the development of the creative economy," explained Baihaqi.
Baihaqi added, through the exhibition, the works of Malang City artists can be seen by the public, appreciated, and also purchased. This is certainly very good for the growth of the creative economy climate in Malang City. "There are 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy that are now being developed in Malang City, including fine arts. Hopefully, this activity can grow the economy in Malang City," said Baihaqi.
Meanwhile, ACPM Chairman, Bambang Randika Santoso thanked the Malang City Government and Grand Mercure for helping to make the exhibition a success. This activity is to revive the world of painting in Malang City, after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We hope that this exhibition can introduce the works of Malang City artists. This is also a good event to promote the many good works of Malang's arek-arek," said Bambang.
The exhibition starts from December 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023. Several works that have high selling value are exhibited in this exhibition, including paintings from coconut shells of Hoegeng and Gus Dur. The beauty of Mount Bromo, fruits, the beauty of koi fish, and many more great works by Malang painters. (cah/ram)
