Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In order to suppress the occurrence of violations or criminal acts before the general election (election) or during the election process, concern from various parties is needed, including the existence of integrated law enforcement (gakumdu). In this institution, members consist of elements of the police, prosecutors and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) which is also the coordination axis.
This was conveyed by the Head of Bawaslu Malang City, Alim Mustofa after the launch of the Gakumdu center at The Shamimar Hotel on Wednesday (30/11/2022). According to him, based on previous election experiences, there are still many problems in Malang City. Such as the destruction of campaign equipment and election socialization facilities from election organizers.
Although gakumdu already exists, Alim still invites all parties to support the smooth running of the simultaneous elections in 2024. "Currently, the echo of the democratic party has begun and many campaign props have been installed. When a problem cannot be reached by criminal law and elections, it becomes the realm of gakumdu," he added.
Separately, the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT who also attended the event said that his party will always coordinate with gakumdu, Bawaslu and the Regional General Election Commission (KPUD). Thus, various processes and stages of the election can run well.
If the various elements, including the ranks of the Malang City Government and the community are on the same frequency to make the election a success, then the democratic party will run smoothly and conduciveness will be created. "We want and are optimistic that the various elements will be on the same frequency to welcome this five-yearly democratic party," said Erik. (say/ram)
